SUMMARY

Coordinates children’s birthday parties, provides school tours, and assists with special events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Processes requests for parties and events at the counter and over the telephone.
* Maintains cordial and pleasant relationships with IT’Z guests and business clients.
* Follows policies, procedures, and instructions for ensuring that Party Max operations and daily activities exceed the guests’ expectations.
* Utilizes the IT’Z proprietary software for maintenance of an activity database of all IT’Z Party events, vendors, and guest party/event bookings.
* Assists with on-going IT’Z special holiday activities including Santa, Easter Bunny, Christmas decorations, etc.
* Conducts facility tours, birthday parties, lock-ins, and business meetings.
* Follows instructions, policies, and procedures regarding problems and emergencies, which could occur during Party Central activities.
* Maintains open communications with management and all departments of scheduled events.
* Communicates with the Supervisor regarding status of IT’Z Party inventory and supplies.
* Maintains uniform standards.
* Operates Point of Sale (POS) system including deposits and party transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the satisfaction of IT’Z standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Must be currently enrolled in High School; or
* Certificate or Completion of the High School equivalency test.
* At least 18 years of age or older.
* No prior work experience required, but preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS

* General knowledge of computers including word processing, graphics, scheduling, and spreadsheet applications.
* Able to maintain daily time record on IT’Z POS after training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups, guests, Team Members, and managers of the IT’Z organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, sales tax, percentages, and cash register balancing.

REASONING ABILITY

* Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. These situations may involve Team Members and guests.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

* Safe serve certification; and/or
* Food handler certificate, if applicable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* While performing the duties of this job the IT’Z Party Host is regularly required to interact with the general public, Team Members, and children of various ages.
* The IT’Z Party Host will be standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
* An IT’Z Party Host is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* An IT’Z Party Host is required to lift up to 10 pounds and on occasion up to 25 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

* While performing the duties of this job the IT’Z Party Host is regularly exposed to water, chemicals, food, paper debris, loud noise, music, horns, bells, whistles, and other noise projected by various amusements and recreation equipment operating at IT’Z.
* At times an IT’Z Party Host may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
